CPAC hosts Artur Lima and Carlos Amaral
The California Portuguese-American Coalition was happy to host the visit of the Vice-President of the Azores, Artur Lima and Regional Director of European Affairs and External Cooperation Carlos Amaral to the State of California. CPAC hosted two meetings and lunches with elected officials of Portuguese ancestry, with roots in the Azores, in Merced, Fresno and Tulare counties. CPAC also co-hosted with PFSA and LUSO a community reception at the PFSA home office and JA Freitas Library and a meeting/dinner with Portuguese-American entrepreneurs with ties to the Azores.
CPAC looks forward to a working relationship with the Azorean government as we enter a new phase of our establishment of the Friends of the Azores statewide group in Sacramento and throughout the state bringing together those who have ties to the Azores in all facets, from business to technology, from education to the arts to foster a better working relation with the archipelago and our great state. The visit also had the presence of the Advisor to the Azorean Diaspora Council from the state of California, Zeto Carvalho.
