Annual resolution and luncheon in Sacramento
The California Portuguese American Coalition had its annual resolution and luncheon in Sacramento on June 8th with the presence of the Vice-President of the Government of the Azores, Artur Lima, representing the President of the Government José Manuel Bolieiro whom CPAC invited in January of 2023. Besides the resolution, the event also included a series of meetings between the Vice-President of the Government, the President Pro tempore of the Senate, and the current Speaker of the Assembly.
Also in Sacramento, the Deputy Minister (Secretário de Estado in Portugal) for European Affairs, Tiago Antunes, the Regional Director of Azorean Communities, José Andrade, and the Consul General of Portugal in San Francisco, Pedro Pinto.
The California Portuguese-American Coalition also brought together over 50 community leaders and elected officials with Portuguese ancestry, most with roots in the Azores, for a lunch and discussion at the Citizen Hotel.
