Meet Your Portuguese-American Elected Officials in California: Scott Silveira
Scott Silveira was born and raised in Los Banos and graduated from Dos Palos High School. Scott’s family have been dairymen for three generations and today, he and his wife Brooke as well as their two children carry on that noble tradition. Scott has been active in the community both as a public servant and as a volunteer. He serves on the Merced County Spring Fair Board, the Merced County LAFCO.
Commission, and the Los Banos City Council. In addition to public service, Scott is active in community service where he has held leadership positions with FFA, 4H and other ag organizations. He served as a volunteer fireman for over 20 years including his time as volunteer Fire Chief. Scott volunteers his auctioneering talents to over 20 non-profit organizations throughout the County; raising over half a million dollars annually. Scott understands how government works, how to get things done and will represent our best interests at the County Seat.
Scott Silveira is proud of his Portuguese-American ancestry and his service to many Portuguese-American associations in the Valley.
